School Closure - January 2021

Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls is now closed for the vast majority of students, until February half term.

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement of a National Lockdown we have moved to remote provision from 5th January 2021. The school remains open to provide supervision for vulnerable children and the children of key workers. The details of students who can access school are in the link below.

Critical workers and vulnerable children who can access schools or educational settings - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Please follow these key principles:

  • If it is at all possible for children to be at home, then they should be.
  • Parents/carers should also do everything they can to ensure children are not mixing socially in a way which can continue to spread the virus. They should observe the same social distancing principles as adults.

For all students, registration will take place daily at 8.55am and lessons will follow the normal timetable via Teams. If students require an additional IT device in order to access the remote learning, please contact the school as soon as possible via enquiry@suttcold.bham.sch.uk. The parents weekly bulletin will continue to be emailed to all parents/carers every Friday afternoon during term time. If you do not receive this, please contact us using the enquiry email address.

Thank you for your support during these unprecedented times.
