Parents' Association
Aim
The Parents' Association is a key part of the school community. It is a registered charity whose purpose is to enhance the experience for all students at the school through a mixture of:
- Support the hosting of school events
- Helping to build the school’s community and provide a vital link to parents
- Running regular events for students
- To raise vital funds for equipment/activities enriching the daily life of students.
How Can You Help?
The Parents' Association Committee is made up of parents and carers of existing pupils. We meet once every half-term, sometimes in person, sometimes online.
If you would like to support the PA, please let us know via one of the following routes:
- Email: PA@suttcold.bham.sch.uk
- Chat to us at one of our events
PA Shop
Created in 2022, the Parents’ Association website gives access to buy an assortment of school items: tickets for film nights/family quizzes, pre-loved uniform, house mugs and stationery sets. So, you can see the PA has it covered! We are here to raise funds & support our local community.
Pre-loved Uniform: All items are categorised to ease selection and ordering. Prices are fixed, so that families have access to affordable, good quality school uniform, from blazers and blouses, through to PE hoodies and skorts. All available on our online-only platform. Regular donations mean that there is a wide choice available for all.
House Mugs - £5.00: Designed and created in school, the House Mug is a great addition to support your school and help raise funds.
Stationery Sets - £7.50: To support every new Year 7 student, we created our own affordable stationery sets – containing essential equipment, including an exam-appropriate, clear pencil case with five Biro pens (assorted colours), a pencil, ruler, scissors, a glue stick, a protractor, a compass, and more.
Department funding:
Every year, the school can request Department Funding for specific equipment and support enrichment, and we are proud of our contributions towards these requests. So far, in 2026, we have supported funding for soldering irons for the Design & Technology department; an author visit during the annual Literacy Festival; wireless headphones for Modern Languages; induction cooking pans for Food and Nutrition; multi-track handheld recorders for the Music; robotics kits from the Computer Science: Perfect Pitch - a Dragon’s Den style request from English; and also a collaborative design idea with the Art department.
