Media Studies
In a rapidly changing world, our aim is to enable our students to navigate the world of media in all its forms, to become informed media analysts with the tools to make sense of the myriad messages encoded daily by media producers. We aim to guide the students to be able to make sense of all aspects of the media, from the way the industry works to the way audiences consume and interact with media products. We want our students to be curious about the media beyond the classroom, developing the capacity to question and challenge messages, moving away from being passive to critical consumers and producers of media texts, as well as being able to understand and evaluate the ideas of key experts.
