Open Events in 2026/27

We no longer hold an Open Evening in September, with the focus shifting to the event in the Summer 2 term. More information regarding our Year 5 Open Evening for 2027 will be communicated later this academic year.

We will be holding an in-person Open Event for those interested in a place at our Sixth Form on Thursday 12th November.

To help remind families of how a girls’ school will engage, challenge, inspire, and prepare their daughters, the International Coalition of Girls’ Schools is pleased to provide this Top 10 list of reasons to attend a girls’ school, all supported by research.

Entry for a place in September 2027 has now closed. More information regarding entry in September 2028 will be communicated towards the end of the academic year.

The entrance test consists of two papers of approximately 45 minutes each.

It is likely that two sessions will be held (AM and PM) and you should therefore plan to keep the whole day free from other commitments. If the test is held over two sessions, your child will be allocated to a session, and you will receive confirmation of this in early September.

The papers will be divided into smaller, individually timed sections that test:

Verbal reasoning
Non-verbal reasoning
Mathematics
Reading comprehension/literacy skills

Children will write their answers in the test booklets, and most of the questions will be multiple-choice. The marks will be standardised to take account of differences in age and then added together.
