Class of 2009

I took Psychology for AS-Level and Business Studies, General Studies, Biology and ICT for A-Levels. These subjects, although a bit random together, led me to take Archaeology and Ancient History at University for my BA. I've then since gone on to do Egyptology for my MA and now currently doing a PhD.

Whilst it may not seem obvious, General Studies allowed me to do a short course in Egyptology as a volunteer project and this sparked my passion. Taking Business Studies and ICT helped me become more academically minded and Biology is very much linked to Archaeology with the understanding of plants and the human body. Now I'm currently working in Museums and Heritage in Sandwell, Birmingham and also excavating in Egypt as an Archaeologist.
