Aquila Charity Day for Guide Dogs UK

As the House Captains of Aquila, we were proud to organise the first charity day of the year, raising an incredible £2,383.70 for Guide Dogs UK! It was a day full of fun, energy and fundraising, bringing students and staff together to support a great cause.

One of the main highlights was the opportunity to meet guide dogs and learn more about the important work they do to support people with sight loss. Another highlight was the much-anticipated teachers vs students Volley-Kinball match, which brought plenty of excitement and friendly competition! There was also a wide variety of stalls for everyone to enjoy, including “the Big Bark Sale”, mocktail stand, handmade items, “Shoot the Dog in the Hoop”, “Guess the Dog Breed”, “Pin the Tail on the Dog” and “Find the Dog Treat”.

We would like to thank everyone who played, baked, crafted, donated and supported the day. A special thank you to Mr Gilbert and Mrs Vincent for their help and guidance in making the day possible. We are both extremely proud of what we have achieved together and grateful to everyone who helped make our first charity day such a success. It was a fantastic result and a great way to start the year for Aquila!
